MATERIALS

 

  • 3 - 50 g balls of DMC Natura Just Cotton
  • 1 of N07 Spring Rose, N83 Corn Yellow, and N09 Silver Gray
  • D/3 (3.25 mm) crochet hook
  • Wire
  • Pliers/Wire cutter

 

ABBREVIATIONS:

rnd Round ch chain sl st slip stitch sk - skip st stitch sc single crochet dc double crochet PS puff stitch.  

STITCHES USED:

Puff stitch: Yo, insert the hook into the st, yo and pull up a loop. 3 loops on the hook. Yo, insert the hook into the same st, yo and pull up a loop. 5 loops on the hook. Yo, insert the hook again into the same st, yo and pull up a loop. 7 loops on the hook. Yo and pull through 7 loops.

INSTRUCTIONS

 

Preparation

Use a bowl or an oval box to shape the wire for each frame. Cut the wire and wrap the two ends to join with pliers.

Frame 1 (Color N07 Spring Rose)

Rnd 1: Sc over the wire covering the circumference of the frame. (Multiple of 8) Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in the same st, *sk 3 sts, (PS, ch 2, PS, ch 2, PS, ch 1) in the next st, sk 3 sts, sc.* Repeat from * to * around the frame. Sl st into the first st of the rnd.  

Frame 2 (Color N83 Corn Yellow)

Rnd 1: Sc over the wire covering the circumference of the frame. (Multiple of 3) Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in the same st, *3 ch, sk 2 sts, sc.* Repeat from * to * around the frame. Sl st into the first st of the rnd.  

Frame 3 (Color N09 Silver Gray)
