New Coloris Floss Introduced
The DMC Corporation Introduces Coloris Floss for Cross Stitch and Embroidery
Unique New Floss for Stitchers
Edison, New Jersey, July 21, 2016: The DMC Corporation is proud to introduce DMC Coloris, a new multi-color six strand embroidery floss. Coloris has four complementary colors in one thread. The colors change with little gradation every 5 cm—nearly with every stitch—creating an interesting textural or tweed effect. The colors correspond to DMC Article117 Floss colors to allow stitchers to coordinate Coloris with solid floss colors. Coloris is ideal for cross stitch, but can be used for any stitching technique; the color combinations will always show. DMC Coloris is 100% long staple cotton, mercerized for sheen and strength, and colorfast to maintain vibrancy. Each pull skein is 8.7 yd / 8 m long.
Every Shade Tells A Story
There are 24 color combinations in the DMC Coloris range, each one evoking a particular place, time, or event. Examples include Wildflowers, Indian Summer, and Paris.
Free patterns are available online. There are also three 12-page booklets available for purchase: “Flowers,” “Christmas,” and “Sweet Home.” Each booklet has 17 decorative design motifs that can be used individually or combined to make a single sampler 15.5 in x 11.7 in. The patterns were specially designed to showcase the complementary color combinations of Coloris.
